With more than a decade working in TV news and providing marketing and communications for the statewide chapter of a global nonprofit, storytelling is what I do.
As a Director of Marketing and Communications I oversee all aspects of the nonprofit's brand, including the brands of several popular fundraising events that draw thousands of guests. Utilizing storytelling techniques, I grew our social media channels, connected with donors, utilized digital and traditional marketing and placed over 75 earned media (TV, digital, print) opportunities in 2017 alone.
As TV journalist, I spent more than a decade in the industry covering everything from local headlines to large national stories. My reports have covered severe weather, search and rescue operations, American Idol in L.A., the Little League World Series, and many more. I’ve appeared on CNN, FOX News, CBS This Morning, The Weather Channel, and dozens of local TV stations across the country, detailing national breaking stories unfolding while on assignment.
As a husband and father, my family is my bedrock. My two son have changed my life and not only in the obvious way of getting very little sleep. My first son was the catalyst for starting a successful fatherhood blog, becoming a contributor to Disney and writing for various parenting publications.
Giving back to my community is a part of who I am. I've volunteered with many local nonprofits and serve on the board of two local organizations. I also have emceed and hosted numerous annual fundraisers, galas, and events.
Let me bring my experience and passion to work for you.
